Tamari Roasted Broccoli

A great recipe to help get your vegetables in during the pre-op stage or as a side to your choice of protein after surgery.

  • Prep: 10 Minutes
  • Portions: 2 cups


  • 1 head of broccoli, cut into florets
  • 2 tablespoons tamari (or soy sauce)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 good pinch chilli flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees celcius, fan bake
  2. Line an oven tray with baking paper and spread the broccoli florets on top
  3. Drizzle the tamari and olive oil over the broccoli, then sprinkle the chilli flakes on top
  4. Place the tray in the oven and cook for 20 minutes or until the broccoli is starting to char
  5. Remove from the oven and season with salt and pepper if desired
