Did you know a glass of soy milk contains 8g of protein? For a great mid-morning snack that is both high in antioxidants and offers a reasonable serve of protein, try this matcha latte.

It’s great served cold in the summer with ice, however for cooler times of the year, you can also make this hot by warming the milk on the stove or in a microwave before mixing with the matcha.

If you don’t have a matcha whisk, don’t worry! Try blending the matcha powder and soy milk in a blender instead.

  • Prep: 5 Minutes
  • Portions: 1 Cup

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 tsp matcha powder
  • 1tbsp boiled water
  • 250ml unsweetened soy milk
  • 8-10 ice cubes

Method:

  1. Add the matcha powder into a cereal size bowl
  2. Put the kettle on to boil.
  3. Once the water has boiled allow it to cool for 30 seconds or so before adding one tablespoon to the matcha powder
  4. Using a matcha whisk, stir the powder and water together until smooth
  5. Add the soy milk to the matcha and mix to combine
  6. Place the icecubes into a glass and pour the matcha latte on top
  7. Enjoy!
