Chia seeds are an excellent source of omega 3 fatty acids and are high in fibre with 5.4g per tbsp (we need around 30g fibre per day). When mixed into fluids they absorb the liquid to form a gel like consistency. If you are having issues with constipation, this is a gentle way to encourage your bowel motions along. Take daily for the best results.
Make this in the evening so it is ready to go first thing in the morning!

- Portions: 1 Cup
Ingredients:
- 1 fruit tea bag of choice (I used a berry flavour)
- 250ml boiling water
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
Method:
- Add the boiling water you your fruit tea and leave to steep until cool
- Mix in the chia seeds, allow to stand for 5-10 minutes
- Mix again, then cover and pop in the fridge to chill
- Once chilled, give the tea another stir, then drink
